HCRVillage - For a fresher fruiture

This group is for anyone who likes the idea of coming together and concentrating knowledge and resources to buy land to create a ecological community somewhere in the tropics. Its also a reminder to talk to our friends and families about a sustainable future, if an eco-village aint your thing. Either way, think, fruit forests, beautiful thoughtful gardens, earth homes, tree houses, THINK UTOPIA! Think oh my goodness this sounds like a rad idea, lets do it! Bring your open mind to the group and lets co-create something amazing.

The details are currently undecided so we need your input! We'll be talking about things like, inter-community politics and dynamics, deciding locations, citizenship and visas, and troubleshooting in general.
Every moment that we're not working towards the best future ever, is a moment wasted.
Let's see just how awesome this life can get.
Let's create a Woodstock fruit festival that lasts forever, with fresh picked fruit!
Let's finally assume full personal responsibility and become empowered to become completely self sustainable!
Let's get along!
Let's blow the status quo out of the water!
Lets return to nature, and get off the grid so we don't get crushed by the current failing system!

There is incredible potential in this amazing resource that Free and DR have created for us!
We're all here, through our journey down the rabbit hole, we all want the same things, and the rabbit hole leads to the garden!
Cause there ain't no logic like the biologic, there aint no culture like the permaculture, and there aint no village like a HCRVillage!
It's gonna be so magical, you don't even know.

  • This is my dream!

  • your thinking too small. but its a good start.

what we need is to build the papaya trail.

it winds through the entire length of the tropics.

the trail has no gov't no money and the only rules are to eat as much fruit off the trees as you can, and to  sleep where and when you want.

  • Yes

  • Yeah yeah!!!!

  • Come check out the raw fruit festival in South Spain in September http://festival.811-friendly.net and the area where we will have it. South Europe, great climate, lots of great fruits, Mediterranean and tropical, sub tropical varieties. And wild, only small villages, and isolated small family farms, surrounded by oak and chestnut forests.

Ourselves, we live on a small farm, 3km away from the first paved road, first neighbor about 1km away, surrounded by forest, drinking from the stream...

Rivers flowing year round, and lots of open minded people (we are currently building a group/community here, not all raw, but open minded people, free currency, exchanges etc).

    Come check out the area!

This is kind of what I am picturing... anyone share my vision? If not I would be interested to see what you are picturing :-)

    • Oh my goodness yes please.

      • Yeah I know :-) the only difference between what I'm imagining and Finca Bellavista is that we wont need stoves and ovens so we can just have larger fridges and freezers. Also more of a large central community, ya know? A tree house that is completely devoted to being a greenhouse(so we don't have to bother the local wild life by moving the ground), one that is a gym area for yoga and such. Organized trails for running and hiking.
I love how they are off the grid and self sustaining as well as environmentally sound. I think that should be our goal :-)
And their zip line 'sky trails' rock my world ;-)

    • Paradise!!
