Aloha,

I've been keeping a worktrader at my place in the jungles of the big island, but I need to change that up and find someone who can help me with the kiddos at times.

This probably works out to about 3 to 4 hours a day a few days a week, along with some expectation to help out around the place generally. All together 20 hours in exchange for your own private room in our awesome off-grid home and full access to all of our amenities.

We're only about a mile straight line away from the ocean, in an off-grid, natural lifestyle subdivision. The 3-acre property is private and includes some bananas, lilikoi, avocados, mountain apple, citrus, coconuts, papaya, and other edibles.

My ideal person would be patient and empathetic, great with kids (obviously), into a fruit-based raw foods lifestyle (kids are vegan/raw, I'm plenty tolerant though we won't have any non-vegan foods here). Hopefully you'll become a part of the family and we'll all benefit from the experience.

If you're interested, message me and we can chat about things.

A hui hou,

Rich

  • Hi Rich,

I am not sure if you are still looking for a nanny/farmer since this post was put up a year and an half ago, but if so, I would be interested. I love kids as well as farming. I am looking to travel to Hawaii to live learn and grow soon (as soon as next month). I sent you a friend request. If you are still looking for someone send me a message :)

  • I'm interested. Is the opportunity still available?

  • Hi! I saw this ad because I was thinking of moving or travelling and looking for a place to move to. I believe I have already talked to you before! You are Sydney's father right? What ages are the other kids? I have been a nanny before, so this may work out. Send me a message, tell me more. I need a new situation and better lifestyle than what I have here.

  • Hi Rich! This looks like the perfect fit for me, if you're still looking :) I absolutely adore children and have a lifetime of experience growing up at my mother's own day nursery! I'm currently in Thailand training in yoga until the end of this month and had planned on staying in rural Hong Kong afterwards with my uncle and his wife as I find a place to settle. I've just embarked from living in England (London for two years at music school) so I'm fit and ready to travel! I've added you as a friend so please feel free to send me any questions. I'm full of passion and life - especially where family and children are concerned! I have been eating only fruits and greens for two years. Sending hugs to Hawaii! Meghann <3

  • Still in Puna?

  • hi Rich,

I'm not on the big island but have always had a dream of living there.  I'm afraid of just leaving home and taking a chance all on my own without a plan. one deterrent is that if i decide hawaii didnt work out, its not like i can drive to cali to stay with my bro or drive back to the east coast.  I just landed a temp job that has a chance of something permanent.  It's not something I want to do persay def not longterm, but in a way I'm wanting to save money so I can become someone that helps people.  I'm thinking physical therapist. anything so that i'm not sitting in front of a computer all day

  • Aloha all. Just wanted to let you know that while we've tried some stuff, we're still looking for the perfect nanny fit. If you think the situation could be right, I'd love to hear from you.

    • Hello there Mr. Rick.

My name is Young. I know for certain I could be the perfect nanny for your kids. For I have had plenty of experience with children of all ages since I left high-school I have work for a gym in which I have taking care of children in a center. I have had my CNA certified nursing assistant , adult/baby CPR license in the past and can always renew it if necessary. My plans are to relocate to Hawaii and help out not only  your kids but the community around us in anyway I can. I can envision eating, living, loving, laughing, learning well with everyone around me. I am a RawVegan so you probably see why everything about this request of yours excites me. Please message me back through my inbox for more secure info sharing. Thanks talk to you soon.
