https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xS5QYmA4NIAfew tidbits from Paul:-Limiting your diet to fruit means you won't get a variety of nutrients(yet he wasn't on a fruit diet and STILL ended up with deficiencies)-Nobody has eaten a raw vegan diet long enough to prove that it works. (but what about the rest of the animal kingdom that has proven this??)I must speak up about the teeth issue, as others here have as well. My teeth have never been better than they are now on a high fruit low fat raw vegan diet. No sensitivities, no cavities, they are even getting whiter and feel stronger. I used to have flouridosis marking on my teeth from flouride toxicity cause by tap water and flouride supplements as a child. These marks have COMPLETELY disappeared on this diet. I haven't used toothpaste in 2 years just water and an electric toothbrush. I'm fully convinced that this diet is great for my teeth and that I will have a healthy oral environment long term. I guess I'll find out.Discuss.

  • HAHAHAHAHA
  • Let us not forget that a diet high in fruit is a disaster... if high in FAT as well...

I think this is where most folks mess up.
  • bb,

I do find that it is kind of strange.
  • Thanks BB!
  • I sincerely don't want to come across as a dick, but, I think Paul Nison would have less of a soap box if everyone stopped paying attention to him. As far as I know Freelee started this community to help nurture and foster the ideals of natural hygiene and the 80/10/10 diet. Paul gets more attention on this forum than issues that actually matter. He will do anything to get everyone to pay attention to him, if we simply ignore him and his wacky ideas and stop leading more newbies in the raw community toward him we'll only strengthen our community and the cause we do believe in. I would never have seen his irrelevant videos if I hadn't seen them on these forums.
Seriously he doesn't matter. He'll go his own way and nothing you can write on this forum will change his mind just like nothing he says will change my (and hopefully your) mind. He has realized that what made him famous (a raw food vegan diet) didn't work for him but he still wants the attention so he decided to publicly oppose it. He only has info on what won't work so why waste the time listening to him? Just so you can argue it behind his back to a bunch of people you know agree with you?
    • i think if we ignore him it will make him even more pissed
    • Actually I started it 14 mins ago, she 10 minutes ago...SO THERE!
  • Not completely informed on Paul and his background and experience, but in listening to his voice, manerisms, and demeanor sounds like he has an ax to grind about something. can anyone enlighten me. thanks.
    • He is pissed we are having so much fun. He has worked for a hospital for so long.
    • BB,
I would like to echo Storietime's response by saying that people are questioning his statements rather than "picking on him".
In the forward to the 80/10/10 Diet book, Ruth Heidrich says that the greatest reason for dietary failures is misinformation. So it is important to point out sources of misinformation.
