  • The dog nutrition link has moved. It is now here:

    http://dels.nas.edu/resources/static-assets/banr/miscellaneous/dog_...

I use this and cronometer. I supplement with B12, calcium and D. They are not raw but they are vegan most days. They love bananas, lettuce, carrots, etc. They eat everything that I eat plus a base of cooked starch and beans.

  • Infinite thanks to you both for sharing!!!! I truly am SOOOOO sorry to not respond....... (Cringing)  I have been offline for a long time, but I appreciate your responses more than I can say, and I will keep them in mind for the future!!! <3 <3 <3

    • How has your sweet pooch fared through his ordeal?

  • this advice makes sense I have seen this "working' with a cat (that probably was poisoned ) she even took it a notch further and refused to even drink for about 2 days (she bit me when I made an attempt to "drop' water in her mouth ). And oh yes she recovered well by the natural healing powers 'vested in her'///

  • If it were my dog I would water fast him.  The advice I received when our dog was diagnosed with heart worm was to water fast him until a few days after his last symptom was gone.  Our 75 pound dog went to 30 days, high energy all the way through and ended the fast at about 60 pounds which was a much healthier weight for him.  This was about 4 years ago.

As for raw vegan, we feed mostly raw to him, bananas, lettuce and tahini as a regular staple.  We use this nutritional guide and track his intake with an online diary like http://cronometer.com/

The vets solution is the same as chemo for humans. :P  See Freelee's Mum's site to learn about the downfalls there: http://chemowillkillyou.ning.com/
