Schools for raw food careers

I have been so interested in natural health and naturopathy for some time now. Was planning to go to a weekend naturopathy school, but now that i'm aware of this lifestyle, that option no longer appeals to me.

I want to help people from the ROOTS, with food, instead of just giving them herbs and essential oils while they eat the same junk.

Does anyone know of any schools that address natural health based on nutrition? Most specifically, raw foods????

Still interested in herbology, iridology, bodywork and the likes also. But looking for more raw-based-nutrition knowledge.

  • Let me know when you find anything. I'm looking for the very same *paper* to obtain. For now I'm working in yachting industry, doesn't matter how well I know this or that, in US I have to have a *paper* to backup my knowledge, so- I need to study Something.

Searching for some nutrition study, digging through random bio-chemistry studies on cells & lipids.. and have no idea what school would fit the bill, what's worth the investment.

As for now- I wouldn't want to study some bs what would educate me on  *balanced diet* in traditional sense.

    Same in medicine.

Cousin just got his Dr degree after 6 years of study.. and our human-body understandings are diametrically opposite, he's all into pharmacy-symptom-treating mindset, which is sad, since he really wants to be a good doctor.

Sometimes I'm thinking *public health*, or some type of educational system development (if such study exists), is the one to go for. Who's going to change the system and when?

    hmm.

    • Found this certification program. Caught my interest!

    • Exactly! I don't want to go to college to hear the same old traditional information. I want to REALLY educate myself by learning what i'm passionate about.

May end up being internships and self-study or whatever necessary. But how awesome would it be if there were a place where everyone came together to really just learn un-commercialzed truths??

For me this lifestyle is about stepping out of the box, it goes against all social norms. So I guess it makes sense that education about it doesn't come through your average college education. Like you, I don't want to waste my resources getting a paper saying i'm "educated" when I see doctors and all they know how to do is write you a list of pills and a check while naturopaths only give you a long list of herbs to take and meditations to do.

Very frustrating. Guess we really are on the front lines of changing all this corruption around. Since we see it, we have the obligation to do something about it. :)
