  • Nowadays I've been eating leafy greens for breakfast. For me breakfast is in the afternoon around 1-2 PM, I guess it's salad, just romaine mixed with baby spring mix, no dressing whatsoever. I'd say eat leafy greens anytime you want. Just make it a daily habit.

  • If you're not hungry for fruit and the salad satisfies you then a salad is fine.  Greens are always good.

    • I appreciate the quick response. Thanks so much!

Also, Is it ok to mix up snacks of fruit AND salad,  while waiting for 4 o'clock to come around? I don't know if it's because I'm a newbie or what, but right now I don't feel "right" eating nothing but fruit from morning until 4 o'clock. My stomach just doesn't feel settled if I eat "just fruit". Is this normal? I've been at this for a couple of weeks now. I mean, I don't want my stomach to start feeling worse because of mixing greens AND fruit.... I know that the word is: if u eat cooked carbs at evening, you shouldn't eat more fruit after that until then next day....so that's why I'm asking. And thanks so much for the help!

      • I think mixing fruit and greens is just fine. The only thing to consider is if by salad you mean one dressed with a lot of nuts or other high fat food, that could feel not great because mixing fruit and fat can cause a lot of gas which can be quit painful and embarrassing, but over all I wouldn't worry about it if it isn't causing a problem. Don't get too fought up in the "rules"
      • Yeah it's fine to mix greens and fruit.  As long as it's nothing too starchy like carrots.  I wouldn't really obsess about waiting until specifically 4 to eat anything cooked.  Just eat fruit and veg for breakfast and lunch and have a nice cooked dinner.  The time isn't really important.  It's more about eating a lot of fruit and veg and a healthy whole food cooked dinner.  I usually have a big salad with dinner too but it's not mandatory.

        • Awesome. Thanks a lot!
