Which feast/fast should i do??

I've been pretty busy the last couple days reading all of the new posts about people living on banana island and was curious because i was going to start a juice feast on monday but wonder which would benefit me more? I bet water would be more intense and more difficult but juice less intense and banana feast just seems too good to be true. I mean only bananas would be phenomenal. So what do you guys think of my dilemma? Any information would be fantastic! Thanks Free and DR for this sweet site!

  • Feel free to join us on banana island! :)
  • a problem is just a situation waiting for a solution..

juice feast'n is just calorie restriction. yeah its better than the 'master cleanse' or eating clay and other toxic mucous creating herbs but in a world of good, great, better or best, WHY NOT GO THE BEST EVERYTIME?

for me, living the lifestyle that TOTALLY DISOLVES the need to fast in the first place.
doesnt it make more sense to work out an eating pattern that provides OPTIMUM DIGESTION?
doesnt it make more sense to set up our lifestyle so we get sufficient rest and sleep so we can truly give more in society?
doesnt it makes more sense to learn how many cals we need and from which foods to get them from so we aint diving off the deep end eating foods we regret and have to 'cleanse' from?

is it any coincidence that the promoters of colonics, juice feasts/fasts, gall bladder flushes, enemas, courses of herbs, superfoods etc PROMOTE THE HARDEST TO DIGEST RAW DIET?

the diet they promote is the LOWEST in water content. nuts and seeds are typically 1% water. bananas are 75% water. oil is ZERO % water. its 100% fat! REFINED FAT! lol! how is that meant to digest? lol!

these raw guru's are promoting a diet based on nuts, seeds, oil, superfood powders and a few handfuls of greens and maybe an apple if your lucky.( people might say 'harley you dont know what your talking about! ' my advice to them is to pick up a copy of 811 and look at the VOLUME of greens in the menu planner. pick up any other raw gourmet book and see if you can find that much volume of greens.? I DARE YOU! ;)

811 recomends the MOST consumption of greens anywhere in the NUTRITION world today..so with the other guru's promoting their 'cooked' raw diet that is way to high in fat, deficient in carbohydrates and DEVOID OF SUFFICIENT LIVING WATER, no wonder they are dependent on BOGUS cleanses etc to get some short term results. most of these cleanses just whip our adrenals into action and we feel better but it just the adrenaline. but we have just paid 100$ or 10000$ so we aint gonna question the program we just bought, hook, line and non thinker..

if you love bananas, great, do a week on em. do a mono week on whatever fruit you like. and during that time, lets WRITE DOWN A SUSTAINABLE PLAN THAT WILL SUPPORT OURSELVES IN OUR QUEST TO LIVE OUR LIFE PURPOSE..

what do i mean by that? well if we dont have a plan, society will have one for us. and we can be sure that its not one that allows a peak life experience! lol!

so lets do a fruit feast so we can fast ourselves from the jokers out there selling raw fries, lies and rancid cashew butter on ya thighs..
  • Hey there Nathan....thanks for posting! I only have juice on the odd occasion and wouldn't recommend it to 'feast' on, reason being that it is no longer a whole food and is now a refined food, the fibre helps slow down the absorption of the sugar into the bloodstream therefore you may get rapid swings in your mood/blood sugar levels which isn't fun.

I think i should firstly ask what do u want to achieve? Then we can go from there....
    • oooo i never thought about it that way freelea. you and DR really know your stuff! Between you two i feel confident in asking any question and will get an answer next day. I think i will go "live" on banana island for a little bit!
