  • I've been training in Olympic Style Taekwondo for 6 years, I've found that high carb vegan lifestyle has increased my  recovery time and, and in the past year since going vegan I've made some great cardio gains.

  • Hello :)

I started training wing tsung and escrima one year ago. Both in a more softer, inner kung fu way, but still highly effective. I am quite passionate about and practise 4-6 times a week. :) Just wanted to say hi.

  • I practice Hung Gar Kung Fu, Aikido, some Baguazhang. I have noticed that my endurance and recovery is enhanced when eating clean and being hydrated. Stance training in particular has been helped by this lifestyle.

  • Hi there,

New to 30Bad, transitioned into fruitarianism since April 2012, previously a Pescetarian.

I'm BJJ white belt 2nd stripe and Judo yellow belt. Currently in a rest due to collarbone broken 3 months ago and had surgery to fix it up (with metal plate and six screws). Can't wait to get on mat as soon as possible however doctor told me to stop all training for six months.

I would be appreciate if any of you have idea of speedy recovery please drop me a message.

    Thank you.

    Cheers!

  • Hi Mark,

I lived and trained in Thailand for 3 years, send me a message if you need some help.

  • Hey! Im really pleased to have found this group for martial artists. Im 1st dan black belt in shotokan karate but I don't train in karate anymore. I started training in Kung Fu last july and im currently second yellow belt. Tried loads of other styles too, been into martial arts for about 11 years now :D It would be great to make a few 811 martial arts friends. Im v. new to all this so could use a few tips to stop my training suffering with my transition to raw food diet :)
  • My good bro Jake Mapes was at the last UFC event with local fighter Kendal  Groves. Jake is a monster on the mats. He was helping Kendal with his ground game for his fight with Damien Maia. It seems like it helped alot. Kendal did very well i thought.
  • Hey guys! 3rd degree blackbelt in freestyle karate, I enjoy competing in karate, kickboxing, muay thai and my goal is to support my wife and I through mma competition, simly as it's where the money is with uk combat sports.

Started training when I was 7 after being bullied horribly for a long time, that stopped being a problem a looong time ago :) I began with shukokai karate and trained till my 3rd kyu (1st brown belt) and then moved onto freestyle around the age of 11 and I've been here since.

I love all that training in the martial arts has to offer and I cannot wait to see where 811rv will take my training. :)

  • Aloha freespirit, I dont practice capoeira but i have alot of friends that do and have been to Brazil to train. I have alot of respect for the art, but for a practical self defence I dont think its the best. For the movements can put you in vulnerable positions. It looks super fun though, I love the handstands and stalls, and the dance aspect of the art. I like how this art came about through the slaves of Brazil finding a way to train in disguise so to speak.
  • BJJ black belt, coach and competitor here.
