  • Hi David, sounds like you have good intuition ... most people just fall into a pattern and never question if their beliefs that they hold onto are legitimate or backwards... fruit good for waking up huh.. I'm looking to break my habit of feeling overwhelmed all time... I went to work tonight w/ positive affirmations of ''I can do this!" I wasn't there 2 minutes when I was flooded w/ stress after seeing how many patients we had... Grrr to self!
  • Hi- hmmm... Inner Strength = ... um- okay- I would like to be like a mighty Redwood - even an oak tree- Strong- Right now I feel like a sailboat blowing in the wind- When I'm at work- I'm pulled in 20 directions w/ Dr's calling/ patient's family's asking questions, pushing IV meds into patients ranging from 6 months to 106 and it's so crazy- When I was doing DtM style juicing- I just feel brain foggy (scary) - I have only been doing the high fruit thing for few days- but last night- I felt clearer.
    It's good to be flexible- but I'm so sick of feeling overwhelmed and out of control - it's good $/insurance so it's a job I need until I can stockpile big chunk and get a job at a grocery store w/ employee discount produce- yeahh!

    Cheryl:- i have had the same problem as you, dizzy blonde jokes, 2older brothers /dad, fear of looking or saying something stupid. I think it makes me very sensitive to any personal jokes now.  

    What does inner strength mean to you all?? (just for my own clarity) :)

  • Hi everyone, Exercise involves resistance and strengthening... maybe (and I'm no expert at all) we have to sit down and face these 'problems' and feelings in like meditation- my problem w/ stress is I avoid it at all costs- food is a good drug-or at least it was- an escape... Pema Chodran talks about being with your 'shen-pa' (kinda like a trigger that gets that fight or flight tenseness- what's the real underlying problem? I think my stress as a nurse at hospital is not just fear of imperfection but fear of being 'stupid' as I grew up the brunt of all the dizzy blonde jokes w/ 2 older brothers/dad. i dont know- but I feel better typing that- thanks :-)
  • Am reducing my TV watching from 5hrs to 2hrs i think this is progress. next is to read more and be more disciplined and have more self esteem

    hi kj, what do you do to get inner strength that you can share ?

  • I think i need  double time inner strength since i procrastinate a lot. I write down the goals i want to achieve and let circumstances and people talk me out of it and give up quickly.

    what exercise is best?

    What kind of excercise is good for building up inner muscle strength? I think walking/jogging is not enough? I hope some of you can help me here.

    What do you do? Is inner muscle strength the same as core strenght?
