  • I really enjoyed this book, teaches you how to be more present to the moment. If you liked this book then you might like this 1 - "Spiritual Enlightenment the Damnedest Thing" by Jed Mckena (only the first one in the trilogy is any good)

Warning though, it's not for the closed minded.

  • interesting . . . but it seems to me that the Power of Now is just truthful observation and fits with all life and lifestyles.  it is so simple and cannot not be true - it is always now, whether you are an awakened fruitarian or an asshole serial killer.  What you with your now, once you inhabit it, is where the journey is . . .

  • I also like this book and Eckhart's teachings in general. I live in Thailand and am on the search for others who practice something along these general lines. I'll be in Bangkok from Sep 18th or 19th and will be there or about a week. If anyone will be free to talk or to run around with me, let me know. I'm on the hunt for some Zen Buddhism or other really cool places, like ... and this one is a long shot too, but Taoist teachers, Sufis (I'm pretty sure Thailand's got some) (ภาษาไทยว่า ซูฟีย์ ผมค่อนข้างจะชัวร์ว่ามีนะ), or even Christians doing a contemplative practice using meditation. I've got a couple of leads on Zen but will be winging it with anything else. I've got a couple of other things I'll need to do in Bangkok too. I'll head to a Buddhist temple either in Krabi or Kanchanaburi after I leave Bangkok.

  • I love The Power of Now and only a couple days ago I discovered that the Dog Whisperer Cesar Milan has read The Power of Now and even was on Eckhart Tolle's show. I've always loved the TV show The Dog Whisperer and just didn't make the connection (although it seems really obvious now). However, a must-watch for every dog lover:

  • It is do great of everyone for joining. I really love this book and it has had such a positive impact in how I live everyday. There are some great clips n YouTube if you have not found them already, there is a great one with Neale Donald Walsh. I also have Eckhart Tolle's Findhrn Retreat and I would definitely recommend seeing that if you can and if you are keen. The audio version on The Power of Now is also great to put on your iPod, and even listen to when relaxing - it is about $60 from Dymmocks. Thankyou! Enjoy! X
