  • Great tips Juliana! I live around Rundle Mall, and so far I have only explored as far as Chinatown/ central market because I am car-less. But they sound like amazing options if I can hitch a ride here and there from my friends :P

  • Hey!

Have you really moved here in Lausanne? I am really busy at the moment, but she should meet soon. I used to live in sunny California and I miss speaking English!

  • burnside!!! that is close! I do my banana shopping in the market, I have a deal with one of the venders and he gives me a box of bananas (13 - 15kg) for $8 to $10 on Saturdays in the afternoon when they are clearing stock. Currently I get my citrus from neighbours, my mandarin tree and the riverland vendors you will find selling on the streets. I get my dates from an arabic grocer (across from Brickworks behind the pub) for $3.50 for 650g... and every sunday I go to the wayville markets to buy my vegetables, and in the summer strawberries (you can get 4kg for $10) .. only my vegetables are organic, I also buy organic oranges from the market and tangelos as a treat... and occasionly organic bananas if they are a great price. You should really check out organically grown on St. Bernards Road.. its the best organic grocery =) Im not 100% raw though and also eat sweet potato, organic potatoes, pumpkin, peas and make my own tortillas from maize... i have been doing this for roughly 4 months now..

I would say $30 - $40 a week is how much I spend, not more though.. maybe less... but I am also not buying all organic, which isn't great, but my funds can't afford it.

I'm 18 years old, obviously you have a husband so you wouldn't be my age... haha... but how old are you? yu must be in your 20's right? you look young in your photo...

feel free to pick my brains =)

oh and I also shop at asian markets for things like mint, bok choy and garlic chives (love them!!!) and marriana's on grote street

  • Hey guys, if anyone is in Switzerland and knows of a good community I can hook up with that would be awesome! My husband and I are relocating and I am feeling a little nervous that after working at finding support avenues here in Australia, I will be starting out from square one again in Switzerland....If anyone has any advice please pass it on :)
