The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?

I've been very comfortably low fat raw for several years. It's quite simple now, so no need for assistance. However, if I were lucky enough to bump into some similar people and maybe form some friendships, it wouldn't bother me...

  • thank you. I have most of those supplements at home already! Yay for not having to buy them! I ended up buying a tablet form of Iodine, since Dr Brownstein mentioned that lugols tastes bad. :)

  • Yes pass on any info about the salt/iodine that you have! My husband loves salt so he was happy to read that..I don't really care for salt so I don't know if I would add it back into my diet...

  • Thank you so so so so so much for posting the link to Dr Brownsteins talk on Iodine deficiency. My husband and I watched it yesterday and it is mind blowing. Both my MIL and Mom suffer from hypothyroidism and I am excited to share this video with them. Do you take Iodine? If so, can you send me a link to the one you take? Have you experienced health benefits from taking it?

  • Hahaha!  What, do your knees get itchy or something when someone mentions Shelley?  I didn't think you were on here anymore.

  • Hi, Carl!

    Thanks for your advice!
I usually make green smoothies in order to incorporate more greens in my diet, or even some green juices, but in winter I really find it challenging to eat green as I can't find good quality ones. Most of them, with small exceptions, are tasteless or they have a bitter taste because they are not fresh. I really can't wait for spring to come in order to have tons of tasty fresh greens!
I was also thinking about having 1-2 teaspoons of sesame seeds per day for a certain period. I suppose that would be ok if I take care of the amount of fat I'm consuming. I usually eat avocados for my fat intake and I avoid any kind of oils.
Orange juice is one of my favourite :) I think it's the only juice that I drink on a regular basis.
  • Hey there!

I was browsing an old discussion and came across your comments,  I liked what you had to say as well as the way you presented your arguement. You sound very mature and wise! I hope you take it as a compliment :-)

    • Hi Carl.  I've been lurking around 30Bad again since completing that big ole hike in October and I haven't seen a hint of you. I'm jumping in cold cucumber on January 2nd. I'm so excited - have a kitchen full of fruit. Hope all is well in your world.
  • Thanks for the update :-) Ah yeh that can be tough with your mum, I looked after my grandma when she has incontinence and alzheimer's for a a year or so with my dad, it was heart-breaking. Great to hear she is vego. All you can do is your best for her and I know you are doing that :)
Thinking of you and look forward to your return here X
  • Miss your contribution here Carl, nice to see you're still alive though :)
  • Hey!
I know you are super beyond busy but I just wanted to make sure you got my email =) I know I took forever in responding only to, once again, send a "nothing" response that is quite unnecessarily wordy.
But I do miss you and hope things are well and that work is not keeping you over busy.
I wanted to let you know I have started a recent jewelry making craze, lol, so at least I am creating somethingg
