  • Bzzzz... buzzing through! It has been a while, yes! I am having some crazy fruit adventures and enjoying the summer here in NYC! How are you? What is new with you and your man? <3

    Love,
    Chiquita Banana ;)

  • Thank FF,

I'm in the south, Manila is a long way from here in the North.

People with Celiac are often low on B12, iron and folate.    Likewise, not enough of the right kinds of fat and too much of the wrong kind of fat.  This often causes a hypo thyroid condition.

Celiac also tend to suffer from pernicious-anaemia.  When I corrected the B12, iron and folate, and got some DHA omega 3's - the hypo thyroid came into normal range.

That grandma likely drank buko juice (young coconut water) everyday of her life.  It is as near a perfect drink as you can get.

Here is what I did.  First, I started daily B12 shots, I used the Methyl B12 from Japan called Mecobalamin, 500 mcg per ml.  It comes in a glass vial and one vial per shot is perfect.  I tried ALL the oral B12 on the market, even up to 50,000 times the daily amount, with absolutely no results.

I use a 100 unit insulin syringe (1ml) with a 8mm X 30 gauge needle.  30 gauge is near painless, and 8mm is a fool proof needle.  Any SQ site is fine, however, some doctors recommend the butt or legs, and even I think this is better than arms or belly.  One good thing about the 8mm needles is you do not have to worry about hitting a blood vessel, as they are all deeper than that on any normal adult, so you do not have to pull back to check for blood (fool proof).  A good thing about Mecobalamin is even if you injected it into a vein, it would not hurt you (you would just urinate it out in about an hour).

I took an iron supplement and I drank 500 ml of green juice (auger juicer of dark green leafy vegetables).  I do not recommend folic acid in males as it is shown to cause prostate cancer.  I later found out I was low on stomach acid (common in Celiac and also pretty common in people over 45) and started taking Hydrochloric Acid pills after eating anything.

Iron and Folate are absorbed in the first inch or so of the small intestine, and B12 at the other end.  Unfortunately this is where Celiac strikes first!  Some people are damaged for life.  However, I find the green juice absorbs well, especially when followed by the HCL supplements.  If you have Celiac and heartburn or acid reflux, you almost surely are very low on HCL.

After I drink the green juice (to get it absorbed fast) I mix up the green plup into a "fyuelgood" (sort of a green smoothie with the pulp), and drink that.

Something I have found that is healing, and really calms my system, is a mono island sort of, of steamed winter squash (any kind).  I know it is not raw, but for a person healing with Celiac, it is a good compromise.

You may also want to make a test of avoiding high fructose fruits, at least in bulk.  People with Celiac, often have a real problem with fructose.  A high fructose fruit is one in which the fructose is higher (more) than the glucose. Mangoes, Watermelon and Apples come to mind (they are what are available here).  There are plenty of sweet fruits that have more glucose than fructose.  My favorite is chicos, I can eat a whole fruit bowl of them and feel great!  Sorry, I do not know what chicos are in English.  I still eat high fructose fruits, I just limit it.  Oh, most dried fruit is also high fructose, but I don't eat dried or dehydrated stuff.

  • Haha yea, Money isn't everything, travel light, eat natural, and absorb new cultures and people while doing so, all while having the energy of an animal!!!!

  • Thanks for the birthday wish! :)

  • Your before and after pictures are definitely incredible!!! :) Their amazing!! I know what you mean about trying to help others, it's really difficult when they don't want the knowledge you've acquired. Hopefully one day, he will come to you wanting to know everything!! :) I do still take one pill in the morning that is a combination of herbs to help aid my adrenal function, however I used to have to take three a day, so the fact that I'm down to one is fantastic! Hopefully soon I won't need any! ;) I was diagnosed with Adrenal Exhaustion, which caused a ton of other symptoms such as hair loss, fatigue, dry skin and hair, digestion problems, and a ton of other things! However, since starting HCRV, I have healed just about every one of my ailments! it's absolutely incredible! :) How about you? You said your condition is a little more complicated? You definitely look like a dancer!! Doing what you love is so important in life, and so is taking care of yourself! :) You seem to be on the right path for sure!!!

    Have a great day!!!

  • Aww! You're so sweet!! Thank you!! :) Really?! I'm starting to recover, so it's nice to finally start having energy again!! Are you starting to feel better at all? I love the pic of your dancer's pose in front of the mountain!! Gorgeous!!!
