  • Hi, just a friend request cos I resonated with your pictures.. Very Dorian Gray actually. I love Oacar Wilde and like your coat in your profile pic. My Great great x a few grandfather was prime minister of U K when Oscar was on trial and he was said to be a sympathisiser. I don't know too much about the Isle of white except that Bear Grylls came from there. You remind me of the self portraits of Gustav Corbet. Do you know them?
  • Hi Jon. I came over here and after 7 months married my girlfriend. I've been here for 7 or so years. I'm now divorced, good friends with my ex and living alone. I'm 44 dude and Japan is great. It's a totally unique place, in that foreigners are treated by the opposite sex like rock stars, especially at your nice young age. It might sound a bit shallow to say that, but the bottom line is it's easy to make friends and get students to teach English. Again especially for young, good looking guys like yourself. So I recommend Japan totally as an adventure and then just see what happens. At your age I was into the South of France, and then Florida from my mid 20's. Japan at any age, especially yours, is ideal. Also, if you are good looking, and your pic suggests that you are, (I'm not now, but I was told I was when I first came here) then it's easier to get work too. Why? Because most students tend to be women and bosses consider good looking teachers to be good for business.

Pronounce your T's and S's (Japanese often forget them) and watch your P's and Q's and you'll have a lot of fun. See you.

  • You ever ask me ,we were to meet together..,

I not remember about that but I saw your profile here,

So we ever to met here in Banana Page ..,OK..,

    Merry X'mas & Happy new year 2013

  • Hello Jon!

Nice to meet you! I live in Tokyo. Japan is very nice country and its very easy to live in Tokto for raw vegan. There are small veggy`s shop everywhere, if you dont have time, go to 24H open Famaly Mart or Seven Eleven, they sale fresh salads, apples and bananas. ;) Online shopping, rawfood restaurants and raw food meet up groups. You will like your life here! Welcome to Japan!

  • Hey man, yeah if I'm still here then it'd be great to meet up! Am working here until Christmas, when I'll return to England, but I might be coming back after that for longer :)

  • I'm using the Farmer's Market and the fruit and vegetable market.
    And
    I'm using the Yahoo auction.

  • Hey Jon,

I've been to Japan three times now for a total of 6 weeks. Unfortunately I was there to bear witness to the slaughter of dolphins and not necessarily to make friends. I spent most of my time in Taiji and Kii-Katsuura , small towns on the east coast in Wakayama prefecture. As well I traveled up through Nagoya, Nagano and Fukushima prefecture. I spent some time in Otsuchi in Iwate prefecture during the time of the Tsunami.
Even though I was there to expose a horrific cultural practice, for the most part I was received in kindness. The vast majority of the Japanese people are unfailingly kind and generous.
Japan is abundant in citrus, japanese veggies, persimmons, and bananas from the Philippines. You won't run into decent mangos, melons, or dates but you'd be very close to countries abundant in tropical fruit.
Japan is accessible in terms of public transport but it is also very expensive. The cost of food and living is comparable to Canada.

I hope this helps! It truly is a wonderful country and would be even better if the slaughter would end.

    Tarah
