  • This is a webite that teens might enjoy. It is based on the Matrix trilogy, but called the Meatrix. In animated form, it show how farm animals are treated, about hormones in the meat etc.

  • Kai, I wrote a little about myself on the meet and greet. Link:

I tried to transition at once, but felt weak both physically and mentally to keep up with it. I fell of the wagon, but am climbing back on. I am just taking things one thing at a time. First I did breakfast raw, then gave up coffee, then raw lunch. Now I am giving up all processed foods and medications. Dinners are mostly vegan with some cooked things like baked potatoes. I was already not eating grains and milk partly due to allergies and partly because the Atkins diet I did restricted them anyway.
I am doing this transition partly for myself, but also not to shell shock my family too much. They thought I was nuts at first. But now my kids 13 and 12, call it my monkey diet, and sometimes they even will have a banana only breakfast and they like it. My husband is still skeptical.
I still cook their SAD food for them, but trying to increase their fruits n veggies. I know I need to learn this way of life, practice it, and when they see results, they might follow. Peace PK
  • Welcome Kai! I wish you success in this new leg or your health journey. I am also transitioning to lfrv. Like you I also have to work around my family's wishes and needs. My hubby likes his SAD foods, my kids 13 and 12 call my new diet a "Monkey Diet", but are reluctant to follow me all the way. But, I hope good things just take time. Peace PK
