Hello 30BaD. Have been vegetarian many years and have been interested in Natural Hygiene for same length of time. Had resigned myself to not thinking fruit based diet possible though it seemed to make so much sense. Have recently stumbled onto Durianrider's you tube clips. Wow. He's reignited my passion and answered some of my doubts. Thanks for all you do.

I love everything you are doing Durianrider and Freelee. I love the down to earth, no bullshit presentations. I love the clear responses to unfounded claims. I have been vegetarian for many years. I had made attempts at Fruitarianism in the past but I think I succumbed to common errors. I doubt I understood how much caloric intake was necessary and I did run into some tooth issues. So I essentially resigned myself to a vegetarian diet with eggs and milk. Its not as bad as SAD but I see it could be much better. Having watched many of your vids I am now planning to gradually shift towards more raw and fruit. I'm going to take my time. Your vids are helping.

  • Paul, I appreciate your chiming in to help Kelly, but please be aware that overt salt consumption is not something we promote on this site, and certainly not as a "digestive" aid.

In case you haven't yet seen it, here's our reasoning as to "why" added salt isn't a good idea:

  • thanks for the add. :)

  • welcome to 30bad, paul!

i'm not quite sure what you mean by "comparing metabolism of carbs, proteins & fats", but i assume you want to know how the processes are different? you can look here for a quick summary:

How Lipid & Protein Metabolism Differ From Carbohydrate Metabolism

if you want more detail go to the wikipedia article subsection:

    Energy from organic compounds

    and follow links.

if you want actual journal articles (though these wouldn't really give basic info) you can search on www.scirus.com which is the net's primary science search engine.
