  • Hiya, No I don't have a blog or anything.  Id been vegetarian for 14 years and now vegan for a year.  I've never been overweight but lost weight when I turned fully vegan and felt a lot better. 

  • I was with Judy, she took small bites and didn't eat the amounts recommended here, although I was with her years after she lost weight and was "maintaining" Perhaps in her early weight loss period she ate huge amounts of fruit.

    Conceptually as far as mono and food combining, great info to promote easy digestion.  Some of her health claims about the benefit and effect of eating certain fruits were a "little' careless.  I certainly at this age and stage of the game am NOT attempting to eat her cooked food recommendations but her stance on sodium, fruit eating, and food combining are basic principles that will never change.

    I mainly eat bananas most days as my staple....and medjool dates few days as my staple. I get in about 2,000-2,500 cals. Now that it's winter I eat bananas, medjool dates, grapes, berries, and half an avocado almost every night. I get in some greens too. I've been eating a lot of celery lately :)

  • Hi Oriana, thanks for yr friend request! :) yes i do eat up to 9 mangoes in a meal but only when their the smaller variety, otherwise ill have about 5 or 6 larger ones. <3

     

  • I am totally down for the rock n roll marathon! but...i just looked up the date and I'm running Tough Mudder in Surprise that SAME day!! :( and somehow I doubt I'd be able to run the 11 mile Tough Mudder then make it out to run PFChangs as well :/

  • hey :) i'm 16, 5'3" and about 100 pounds (basically i'ma really tiny person in general) and i eat 2-3k calories minimum, which is a lloooot of food for someone my size. but of course, it doesnt matter how much you eat on 80/10/10. and i run cross country& track for school and love it more than anything. :) you?
  • I'm doing great physically! :) And YES, I eat fruit all day long, some green juice and salads at night.
  • Thanks.... I eat more than 1 meal... I eat 3 .... + a couple of veg juices.
  • Hi Oriana, Thanks for adding me, Yea i do eat a lot of fruit, I feel like i never stop eating. Im not much of a runner, buti do alot of exercise classes which i absolutly lovE!!!! Definately want to get into running, it just takes me a while to get in to it. how much you eating in the day then? :)

  • Hi Oriana, thanks for adding me! :) No, I don't gain weight when I eat 7-10 lbs. of grapes, but I never restrict calories. In my past, calorie restriction and various diets weren't a serious problem--so maybe if you come from a history of poor diets, this may be harder for you to grasp. But fruit makes me VERY hungry in comparison to all other diets, even McDougall/healthy vegan diets. It's almost amazing how much fruit you can eat and not gain.
