  • Thanks for the comment! For the banana ice cream, I just take a bunch of frozen bananas and chuck 'em in the blender (I have a small bullet blender, but a vitamix would probably work best).. It is AMAZING! I usually throw some chopped up dates on top.. Hope you like it!

  • Thanks! Glad to be friends :) Have a wonderful day, Esperanza xxx

  • Hi.  Thanks for the sweet compliment.  Hope you've had a lovely day.  P.M me if you're on facebook as well.  Sharry.

  • Hey Sharkbite! Good advice! Yeah I was thinking maybe I was getting too much sleep but people have been telling me to sleep if I'm tried so I'm gona! haha I have recently tried to start having a banana smoothie in the mornings to try to get more carbs in before I start work, as eating about 10 or 11 bananas at my desk is tough going and my colleagues are saying I'm becoming a regular zoo pet! haha All in jest but it is more difficult to get the carbs in.

  • Hey... I have been working in Canton, OH. I've been living in a hotel and struggling to avoid eating garbage. I will be getting an apartment in about a week so I'm curious where the best deals are for whole foods. I understand Columbus isn't right next door but I haven't seen anyone. Closer yet.

  • Hello "Sharkbite" and welcome to "30 Bananas A Day".  I'm in Columbus Ohio as well.

I really liked what you wrote in your profile.  Shortly after watching the documentary "Earthlings" I was in a car with some family members and there was a big semi-truck in front of us that was transporting eggs, milk, and meat and the logo said "Happy Farms" and they had cartoon drawings of smiling chickens, pigs, and cows and it was one of those moments when it really showed just how misleading and backwards food marketing can be.

The grocery store that I shop at is currently having a marketing program where they claim that the more beef you buy the more you will be helping end hunger because a portion of the proceeds will go to food banks, yet meat consumption is the number one cause of global hunger... Again, it's all just so twisted and you really start to notice it once you get into this lifestyle.

We are grateful to have people like you here with us.  I can tell that you are sincere when you say that you want to inspire others and I don't doubt that you will.

    Jared
