Gardening Health Pesticide Question

Instead of purchasing organic fruit trees would it be perfectly fine for my health if I brought still non-gmo but also non-organic trees (because I can't find my favorite tropical organic grafted fruit trees online) and then just grow them 100% organically from when I receive them or would the synthetic pesticides previously sprayed on the trees and more somehow negatively affect my health..even a bit? Would it only affect me if synthetic pesticides were sprayed on the growing fruit?

  • Update: I just learned that there is a non-systemic and systemic application process when it comes to synthetic pesticides. The non systemic application process involves synthetic pesticides becoming completely out of the plants system in about about eight to twelve months and systemic application involves the pesticides getting absorbed within the plant.

    • Very interesting!

  • Good to know.
  • I think that's perfectly fine.  Definitely get rock dust to fertilize the trees, and spray clay dust on the fruit to prevent mold or fungus growth.  Congratulations on your fruit trees!!! :D
