Placebo more effective than chemotherapy

I watched the film Healing Cancer from Inside Out and I remember one of the claims made was placebo > chemotherapy. I was wondering if anyone had a scholarly peer reviewed source to back up this claim? I tried making this claim w/o the backup of a peer reviewed source and basically got laughed at. Lesson learned, be ready to back up your claims with the best sources you can.

I can't seem to find much on the DvD itself other than the pitiful Weston A. Price Foundation's rebuttal. I've seen forum posts better than their criticism. Its really sad that people think the China study has been debunked, see Colin T. Campbell in the film, and thus won't even watch this great film.

Todo: Find the sources behind this great film.

Others have noticed this pattern, trouble finding credible source though:

Maybe the simplest solution is to buy another copy of the DvD, I bet the sources are in there somewhere.

    • You encouraged me to take another look. I managed to find lots and lots of references. I can't seem to find the one I want though.

if you scroll down to articles you'll find lots of references. I'm thinking about contacting them, its worth a shot.

      • I found a link to a preview of the DVD and yes it makes the claim that "conventional treatment is far less effective than a sugar pill" and shows the studies which is based upon the claim.  Start watching at 70 seconds in to see for yourself.

just hit preview to reach the youtube from ravediet.com, or use the direct link.  I feel kind of dumb, I had the references right there, just didn't know it.

        • feel a little chill typing this. I guess on some level I didn't want to believe but here it is:

cytotoxic chemotherapy is much less effective than a placebo. I'm surprised I have such mixed feelings, I thought I would be delighted to find the proof. Instead, I'm just sad. Btw this is fifty-two seconds into the video.

          • i just woke up, i'm probably not completely awake, but where does it say or suggest that a placebo is more effective, or do you have a different study that shows the effectiveness of a placebo?

            • placebo is approx. 30% via wikipedia. "Roughly only 30% of the population seems susceptible to placebo effects, and it is not possible to determine ahead of time whether a placebo will work or not." wikipedia

              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Placebo

The study shows only 2.3%-2.1% effectiveness for chemo.

              30% placebo > 2.3% chemo.

    • Yo Nicolas, negative on finding the links.

  • I know that I read about that study in a book recently but I am not sure which one.  Reclaiming Our Health by John Robbins has a chapter on cancer that is phenomenal, it covers chemo and how it kills and is a total scam.  John backs up everything with solid documented resources.  You may want to join Freelee's Mum's site that has lots of great resources: http://chemowillkillyou.ning.com/
