Vaccines and Vaclib critics

http://www.vaclib.org/sites/debate/web1.html

Seems like a great site to me, but is being criticized by people like David Gorski at sciencebasedmedicine. I think Gorski is wrong, but the material is too advanced for me. How can I make a rebuttal against something that is arcane to me?

I'll make a start, hopefully somebody else can finish. First Gorski is disrespectful and doesn't give people who are anti-vaccine the benefit of the doubt. Even if I agreed with him, which I don't, I don't think I would listen due to his condescending and bias tone.

The author openly calls another blogger ignorant. Insulting your enemy in a debate is a poor tactic and a waste of words. The only positive spin I can find is at least the author is openly bias as opposed to hiding his bias. Another positive is in the comments, letting Th1Th2 comment.

If you look at the rest of the site you will also find Harriet Hall agreeing with Denise Minger about the China Study. Can someone help me make sense of these graphs and figure out who's right and why?

  •     Quick question from watching Nicolson's video. Could a raw vegan diet cure such a mycoplasma infection? After hearing about Taka and the tetanus shot I really want to stay away from hospitals. Gee, I go to get cured and they stick me with another vaccine.

I figure with the pathogen being able to spread, its very likely me or somebody I know has this infection.

I was looking on rationalwiki to see what the other side had to say. I found the above article. I feel sad and cold all over. I'm scared. Why do vaccines invoke such strong feelings in me? I feel somewhat dizzy. Why am I getting a physical reaction from typing about vaccines?

  •      Finished watching video. Most people will just chalk this up to a conspiracy theory and not believe. A popular site called quackwatch has conspiracy under #24. I know at least one real frienemy (both a friend and an enemy) who really likes quackwatch and is outspoken against alternative medicine and veganism.

King of funny, as I went alternative medicine, he turns even more mainstream, he posts about how great quackwatch is on facebook.

"24. They Claim They Are Being Persecuted by Orthodox Medicine
and That Their Work Is Being Suppressed Because It's Controversial." Stephen Barrett, M.D.
    Victor Herbert, M.D., J.D.

Though if you look at the references for Quackwatch there are skimpy considering the 26 claims they make. Not only that but several of the references reference themselves. Honestly, I don't who's right. Iknow it will take me about a year to ingest and assimilate the information within the video.

  • Yesterday they insisted i took a tetanus shot after i was transported to the hospital cause i came home with my hands, shoulder and head wounded not knowing what happened, because of concussion

(i still don't know but apparently there were people and they said it was about half a kilometer from home and i slided 2 or 3 meters with the bicycle between my legs i was laying on the street, and then i sat on the side of the street, the woman i have the information from talked to me but i only stared at her like a zombie and after she repeatedly asked where i lived i mentioned my streetname and then i didn't respond anymore.. and then suddenly i just grabbed the bicycle and went home not responding to her wait wait wait, at home i started becoming conscious when i walked in and realized that i was wounded so my mother called doctor yadayadayada and they came to take my with an ambulance..)

They continuously insisted i took a tetanus shot, i refused ofcourse cause i was conscious.. i said no way i'm not going to put stuff in my body without doing my own research, if i really think it's necessary i come back tomorrow..

Apparently tetanus shots aren't even vegan so no way that would happen. also if i didn't fall on my head and had a concussion i wouldn't have been anywhere near a doctor, so then i wouldn't have a shot either.

    • Glad you're Okay!  Were you wearing a helmet?

Ya you definitely did the right thing to not get a tetanus shot.  Here is just one article of many I found: http://www.wellwithin1.com/tetanus.htm

      • no i don't wear a helmet.. i'm not a cyclist with a tour de france bike and outfit like harley and most of the people here on 30bad, i'm just your everyday dutch guy.. the only people on a regular bicyle in regular clothes with a helmet to be found here are germans.. apparently this is what they wear them for (though usually those germans are families with children riding a tourist speed of 5 km/h, the only time they need a helmet is when a car runs into them with intent).

    • From everything I read, you performed the right action.

  • watch to 35 minute mark. I'm going to look up virus and host anti-gens later. I just thought it was the vaccine additives. If the infection is spreading that sounds biological. Inanimate objects don't spread. Of course, the naysayer would say that's not causation, only association and correlation.
