For people who live in Austin Texas. It would be nice to have a meetup now and again.

  • Moved to California 4 months ago, but coming back to Texas in 3 days for a month. Would love to meet up with some cool people
  • Hey y'all. I'm trying to find someone who composts. I hate throwing my scraps in the trash. I'd be able to take them to you.
  • Has anyone come across sugar cane juice and any type of sapote?
  • Hello everyone, hope your thanks giving plans are shaping up to be quite fruity. Wanted to reach out to the local austin community and gauge some interest in a local even in north austin. Would you be interested in meeting up in a local vegan cafe to enjoy raw food and talk?

Does anyone currently host a raw vegan potluck in austin, round rock, georgetown, cedar park, or pflugerville that you know of? It would be great to get a community of like minded people together to share food and culture.

  • I've been abroad for awhile now, but will be moving back to Austin in January as well.

  • Gonna move to austin in january

  • Hey Justin! I haven't even been here as long as you have, but I've found the best prices (usually) at Sprouts, and sometimes H.E.B. It helps to just get a lot of whatever is cheap and in season. Right now, for example, you can find peaches or other stone fruit for 98 cents a pound in some places.

  • hello everyone! i moved to austin about 10 months ago and havent been able to afford 80/10/10 until now. money is still extremely tight, i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on where i can buy cheap organic fruits and greens.

  • I finally, FINALLY moved to Austin. Well, Round Rock for now, but same thing almost. I'm not 100% HCRV, but I love healthy eating and fruit!! If anyone wants to have a meet up, let me know!

I saw a lot of comments about roommate inquiries too. If anyone is looking for a roommate, I am looking for a place to stay starting in September.

    Have a good day!

    Melissa :)

  • I'm moving to Austin for uni pretty soon and looking to set up a UT Austin student co-op. Anyone know of the best sources of quality, bulk produce? Any specific farms or markets or anything?

    Thanks,

    Shannon

Places to stay for a uni student?

Hey guys! I'm searching for ways to be able to reasonably afford attending UT Austin, at least until I can establish residency. Anyone willing to share (so, I'd copay) their space? To stay in a dorm is around 10,000 a year, so it would have to be cheaper than that, and relatively near the campus (so, within biking distance, probably no more than 15 miles would be great). I'm an incoming freshman from Florida, majoring in sustainable design and architecture. I love to run, cycle, learn, and…
