  • Hi Brisbanite's just wondering if there is any Brisbane Vegan community or any to meetup with here in Brissy would love to see some friendly faces :D

  • Carseldine Markets are great.

Any tips on how to meet other Vegans? ...out of the loop :(

If anyone is interested in catching up in Brizzy, let me know. I'm a young 37yo.
    First time on this sight.
  • Definitively try Northey st.  Markets on Sunday

Maybe Nundah Markets, not sure for Saturday or Sunday, at the Nundah train station.

  • Hey guys, where is the best place you think to get wholesale fruit in Brisbane? With a good, 'cheap to good quality' ratio. Not necessarily organic as It often seems to be way out of my price range :).

  • Yes Feebstar90 we have one today 11am at Musgrave Park West End, see you there!  https://www.facebook.com/events/606006016180649/

  • Awesome, I'm at the markets, have to say gidday, pm me your number :)

  • Nice! Aldi is a good find. 77c is a guy at the West End Markets who's hooking me up. Noticed in the comments below that someone is getting Organic for just over $3kg which is good! That will be hard to beat I think, lol. Northey St Market, $43 box of 13kg.

  • I am going to Aldi for 99c/kg...where are you getting 77c?

  • Hey guys - Keen to hear where you are all getting your banana's from? I'm currently not getting Organic ones, but I'm paying about 77c/kg. $10 for a 13kg box! Insane price, but now that I'm eating so many I really want to take it to the Organics. I've found a low as $4.50 - $5 for 10+ kg at a time. Anyone else have any cheap deals? Or could we all pool together to buy 50 - 100kg a week to reduce the price?

Local sources/prices of food staples

Hi everyone, thought it would be helpful to share where we all get our fruit in the Brisbane area. I'm sure many of us following the 811/30BAD  way of eating probably have many of the same staple foods that we buy regularly and by sharing where and what we pay people in similar areas or buying the same stuff could get in contact and buy in bulk as buying this way usually always attracts a discount. So if as many people as possible could follow on in a similar fashion what I write below that…
