  • the question that I have in my mind is: How not to support the system that is making war so easily?

  •  Hey guys, I was reading a mostly useless how to make money article, and it suggested selling pinecones as decorations. Putting aside how common and worthless pinecones are, selling things that grow freely in the wild is a good idea, as long as you don't take things that will have a hard time repopulating.
I have a ton a ton a TON of dill growing in my area, wild, free, organic. A lot of herbs are consisdreed weeds, because they grow and take over, like weeds, and I'm sure there are free growing herbs and such in your different locations.
Just pop them on a clothes line and let the sun dry them out and sell over the net to a client base where the herbs aren't so free growing.

  • Hi Mia!

There will be some wwoofing opportunities coming up on my fruit farm in Naples, Florida starting 2014 spring or fall so keep an eye on my site http://www.fruitsteading.com/ we will post openings under the wwoof section of the forum, listings.

SouthWest Florida is a great place to be for people like us, it has great weather (zone 10a) and a fast growing community of self-sustained oriented, permaculture folks!

  • Hello beautiful people! I am looking for work that is actually enjoyable and healthy preferably in the south.  I am looking into relocating to possibly Georgia, the Carolinas, or somewhere else.  I am interested in work pertaining to farming, personal assisting, metaphysical work, teaching meditation, or something else! I am very kind, of course health conscious, and spiritual.  If anyone is in need of a wonderful worker bee, give me a buzz......(email);) Thank you~  Mia

To impress people I don't even like, support systems that are corrupt and I am against, be a part of the way of life society accepts, and belittle myself to 'the man.'

  • Quit my job selling hot dogs/brawts/toxicjunk on a golf course! Feels AMAZING. Money is not everything, we shouldn't let it rule over our intuitions. Done living each day for simply that "paycheck"

  • No way Jose! I'm already past the feeling of being invincible years. But I admire your fearlessness nonetheless!
  • Hi all. Has anyone thought of or are van-dwelling as a lifestyle? I'm currently living in a house with my boyfriend, but I'm planning on buying a van and equipping it for living in it LFRV and travel around California slowly from one city to another stealth camping.

I hate the idea of coddling the rent seekers with my money. Screw the pyramid scheme of raising property values!
  • Yep. Not playing this game anymore. Throw me out in the streets, take away all my possessions, I can survive and take care of myself, no matter how hard the system has tried to take away my independence.
No more serfdom, no more lords.

University: the question of dropping out.

I've wanted a university degree as long as I can remember (it was never forced, but certainly encouraged, in my family). I got into the school I wanted, am nearly 3.5 years into a 5 year degree (English Literatures and Drama Studies), and ... am I certain anymore that this is what I want? No. The entire experience, despite its rewards - coming out of my shell a bit, meeting many fascinating and wonderful people, gathering knowledge, making very dear friends - has overall been consistently and…

IN RESPONSE TO THE OIL SPILL IN THE GULF OF MEXICOwww.thezeitgeistmovement.com >>>(Venus, Florida- May 12rd, 2010) On the Gulf Coast of the United States the shock is now setting in formillions of American citizens as we now realize the true extent of thedamage caused by our desire for obsolete and dangerous fossil fuels, andour perpetuation of an outdated monetary world society, where thebottom line has always been profit at all costs, be it human orenvironmental. It is time for a viable…
