  • Hi Ian,

If a discussion or post gets closed or deleted it's just the 30BAD crew keeping things on track.  Always feel free to contact a mod or Freelee @ gimmefruit@gmail.com if you have any comments or questions about it.

30BAD's pro-cooked policy written by B is very clear and a great read:

    http://www.30bananasaday.com/forum/topics/30bads-policy-on-procooked

Prad's concise post below, explains things nicely too:

30bad is a focussed group, specifically lfrv.

we don't discuss non-vegan options here.
we don't discuss fat stuff here.
    we don't discuss corpse fare.
we don't discuss smoking, imbibing and other druggie stuff.

so exactly why would we want to glorify cooked food even if it be lfv?

the issue hasn't nothing to do with cooked being optimal, unoptimal, partly optimal.
nor does it have anything to do with how you cook over the fire, in hot coals or even keeping a slab of animal flesh under your horse's saddle for days so it tenderizes the way the huns did.

the purpose of this site is to assist people go lfrv.
it is not to present all the alternatives that are already available all over the net.

    in friendship,
    prad

    Thanks,

    The 30BAD Team

  • Hello,Ian

Just say Sawaddee & Cool life and u?..Thnx for add:)

  • Hey Ian

Just saying hello and seeing how things are going. Hope all is well...take care.

  • Very cool. I hope the weather is nice...forecast shows rain for Saturday.
  • Hi Ian,

Nice to hear from you. I'm doing really well, thank you. How are you? What brings you to OC?

I've been going to the UCI market regularly and plan to be there Sat. What time are you going? I usually don't get there until about 10:30.

  • Hi Ian!

I am psyched about the book trade idea. Let's stay in contact. All of my raw food books are down at my parents house. I'm going down there in April and I'd be happy to dig them out and send them to you. I have "The Raw Life: Becoming Natural in an Unnatural world" by Paul Nison and a few others. I would love to read "Left in the Dark".

  • If you import solar panels from China, how much would they cost?

Where would be the land that nobody wants to own it? Is there a site where I can see some list of land for sale in Thailand?

What are the criteria for the corporation? Does it need to have an official building that looks professional? Or can you just say that you created a fruit farm corporation? I guess if I wanted only fast-growing tropical fruits I could have bananas and papayas (and what else, do you know?) But I guess that wouldn't be optimal in the long run because I doubt there's all nutrients I need in those  two fruits. So to get all the nutrients I need, what other fruits would I need to plant and how much would they cost per tree? (Plus the labor cost in Thailand)

What could I do to get a permanent residency in Thailand?

    >>Building a structure on the land is very expensive and there can be many pitfalls.

By structure do you mean corporation buildings? Is that required? What would be some examples of the many pitfalls?

  • Hello,

How much money should I have saved up to start a fruit farm in Thailand? You said 10k-15k for the several acres itself and I was wondering how much money it would take to plant a variety of fruits in the land as well as setting up solar panels for electricity and  Internet access?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Thanks for your tips on Thailand Ian! I am wondering if there are particular places to go to in Thailand or Cambodia that are unpolluted, quiet, with good fruit? I know Chiang Mai for instance, is probably really polluted right? I am just not sure wehre to start or where to go. Any ideas? If you have a place in mind in Cambodia that would be good too. I'm looking to stay put.
  • Raspberry picking sounds awesome! I am out of town until later next week - moving final items down to abq. But, let me know of anymore epic picking trips
