I am currently at a cross road in my life. I am a sophomore in college studying nursing. Although I do not agree with western medicine and the western diet, I want to pursue a nursing career so I could work with plastic surgeons to help people with deformities from accidents, car crashes, burns, etc. However, my problem is that my nursing program requires me to take a series of flu vaccinations each semester (twice a school year). I am completely and 100% against this and I do not know what to do. Do I suck it up for the rest of the time I am in school and take the shots? Do I quit nursing? OR is there a way around getting these vaccinations and still be a nursing student? I'm feeling pretty hopeless at the moment because I have to make my decision within a month.

  • What? Hypocrite?! You can cure your deformities on this lifestyle you don't need to go to nursing school, I would you to a herb, naturopath, homeopathic or something else school.

  • I say there's only 2 options.. quit nursing, or find a way without vaccinations.

  • 30BaD note: 30BaD does not support the use of vaccines under any circumstances.  Therefore any argument about whether it is okay to use them, (for any reason), is not allowed here.  FYI...

ALL vaccinations include animal and/or human products, including:

Human cells from aborted fetal tissue and human albumin.
Pig blood, horse blood, rabbit brain, guinea pig, dog
kidney, cow heart, monkey kidney, chick embryo, chicken
egg, duck egg, calf serum, sheep blood and others. Also,
gelatin produced from selected pieces of calf and cattle
skins, de-mineralized cattle bones and pork skin.

Beyond this, ALL vaccines, without exception, are
tested on animals in corporate pharmaceutical torture
chambers across the globe. Even those vaccines that
predate routine animal testing, and so were not tested on
animals in their development, are today so tested batch by
batch as current supplies roll off the laboratory floor.
Whatever the highly debatable benefits of an
immunization program may be, the moral cost and rippling effects in ongoing,
    unrepentant, intentionally-inflicted animal suffering,
mutilation and death is mindbogglingly, exponentially
higher. Immunization represents a spiritual abomination of
    unimaginable proportions.

thx ednshell! a timely post indeed!

        well said!!!  thanks pradtf! :)

  • So essentially you're condoning ignorance?

I don't think you chose to understand the intention of what I wrote.

Walking away from negativity and harm and finding a better way has nothing to do with 'giving up'. It takes as much courage and strength of character to walk away from a fight than to engage in one.

    • caroline and ambam,

i think you two may be misunderstanding one another's semantics a bit.

      1. caroline doesn't condone ignorance at all. in fact, she is quite anti-medical establishment as seen throughout her posts and comments which are based on experience and research. however, she just wants to get through her course. if she wants to do the vacc in order to achieve her goal, all other things being equal (admittedly they rarely are), it can be a legitimate path for her at present.

      2. ambam doesn't lack courage or strength. in fact, he is willing to "traverse the path least travelled" which is one of the tests of true bravery. he's willing to fight for what is right despite the odds (and big pharma presents some hideous odds) and make his very existence an "act of rebellion". however, he doesn't want people to vaccinate unless they fully know the ever-increasing dangers of this ritual.

whether you two realize it or not (and sometimes it is difficult to see each other over the flurry of words), you are both kindred idealists.

the qualities you two share are what forces positive change in life and sparks evolution.

      • @ Prad

Thanks for taking the time to write that response and I appreciate your effort to defuse a potential disagreement. It was certainly not my intention to be be contentious for the sake of argument.

So much is lost communicating with text on a screen and this could most likely have been easily clarified in moments face to face.

I don't think it was a semantics issue entirely. My failure to properly address specifics in the context of the discussion definitely contributed to potential misunderstanding. No harm intended and I'll try to remedy that now as I have a little more time to type a response.

Thanks for the welcome on the previous page and yes I was active here many years ago in the good old days when the chat box was still active.

The path least traveled taught me the true meaning of character building from an early age. Once one commits to such a path it makes no sense to turn back :)

        @ Caroline

Apologies if my previous response seemed harsh. I want to clarify some of my points in relation to the context of your responses.

When I wrote about 'walking away' it didn't mean I condoned cowardice. Far from it. For example when you mentioned 'giving up careers and remaining unemployed' I responded 'there's almost always an option to 'walk away' and choose a different path'. In the context of this thread this has more to do with possession of accurate information than love being stronger than fear.

Without sufficient facts how can we make sensible decisions?

There's always an alternative. If one is faced with unacceptable compromise of one's beliefs and principals whilst pursuing a particular career then perhaps the most sensible option is to walk away and choose another vocation. This 'walking away' isn't defeatist. Quite the contrary because reinventing oneself often demands the utmost courage and strength.

I agree with you it takes nothing to give up, however please note I never advocated surrender. That's the opposite of my nature even though it's sometimes to my detriment.

You're already making a difference so don't be tempted to take the weight of the world on your shoulders .... it can only break you. That's a burden best shared :)

        Peace.
