A 30BAD outpost for "members" of, supporters of, and activists for the Zeitgeist Movement. (How about making your adherence to a HCRV diet, whether 100% or not, known on the official forum, and thus influence the movement?)

  • happy z-day. whoa!

  • Nicolas, thanks for the tip.  Left in the Dark is an amazing book with a hypothesis that, IMO, will one day be considered mainstream knowledge.  It may take a few centuries but you cannot hold down "truth" forever.

  • Supporters of the Zeitgeist movement have been fond of proclaiming that there is no "human nature". Depending on how one looks at it, I think that statement is a bit of a half-truth; Other than basic, primal instincts, that can be controlled at least partially with one's cultured personality, I'd say there might be a variety of "natures" one can bring out in people, on the phenotype level, that then remain more-or-less fixed. I recommend that everyone here check out the account of human nature that this thread is about, and that you all, once you've grokked the relevant data, consider supporting the research and its "message".

  • Just want to add that sprword.com is a fantastic resource for this type of thinking. It has Zeitgeist, of course, and a slew of other documentaries related to foreign policy, health, society, economics, etc. It's awesome. I highly suggest bookmarking it!

  • Hi Marie.
Im a member of the Zeitgeist Movement.  First of all there is no "they" really, as in someone at the top of a hierarchy that asks you to do things and you just follow.
It's a collective effort and every person can take initiatives and share his/her thoughts with the community.
First of all what I would suggest is do some reading. There is a lot of material to be read and watched. Have a look at the main site on the left:
    www.thezeitgeistmovement.com
Then talk to others about it and join your local chapter.

At the moment there is a global media campaign. A person can make a video of 1 to 5 minutes and describe why he/she advocates the movement. Here you can find more details:

Reflection on the Safety of a Technocracy

For years, I've been a supporter of the ZeitGeist Movement and the idea of Resource Based Economy.  I'm certainly for a major change in the political-economical paradigm that the world is currently suffering from.  However, James Corbett's recent discussions on the history of Technocracy (of which RBE is certainly one) have left me feeling unsure. My first concern with the (then) combined Venus Project/ZGM was when either Peter Joseph or Jacque Fresco proposed forcing vaccination on the public…

Automation of fruit/berry/veggie planting/tending/harvesting

This thread is for posting things that are relevant to an "80-10-10 version" of a TVP|RBE society when it comes to food cultivation, tending, harvesting, transportation, storage as well as food abundance in general, and what effect that would have on the populace of such a society. In the documentary 'We Feed the World', a UN representative states that according to assessment reports we could, with today's outdated agricultural technology, feed 12 billion people. Of course, with today's tech.,…

The Venus Project World Lecture Tour

This had slipped my mind and notice for some time.I don't know what countries are represented by all the members of this group, but Fresco and Meadows, of the Venus Project, are currently on a world lecture tour. If you attend, you'll have the chance, during the Q&A to get to pose a question / make a statement regarding [high-fruit low-fat raw] veganism, if you so desire, and what say might be recorded along with the rest of the event, and uploaded for all to hear and ponder. They've already…

Ideas for community thread:

So Prad recommended starting an informative thread on zeitgeist, TVP, to help organize and educate more ppl about the movement. He suggested adding a topic a week to give ppl time to 'digest' the new info. I'm thinking we start with creating unity throughout the community by listing shared values, ie we all need: fresh air, water, abundant healthy food, clothes, shelter, etc. Then explaining what is wrong with our current economic system i.e. creation of scarcity, cyclical consumption,…
